Five nights at this modern and hotel, adjacent to the Crown Entertainment Complex and promenade is just a short walk from the vibrant Southbank precinct. Many rooms boast stunning views out across the Melbourne skyline, as does the jaw-dropping 25-metre infinity pool.

Mercure Harbourside Hotel in Cairns

You will spend three nights at this well-regarded four-star hotel in Cairns. It sits in a beautiful location on Cairns Esplanade and has stunning views out across the tropical north of Australia and out towards the ocean. There are two excellent restaurants and the Mercure hotel chain is renowned for the quality and depth of its Grand Vins wine cellar.

Mercure Hotel in Sydney

This recently refurbished four-star hotel sits right in the heart of Sydney and makes an ideal base for exploring the city and watching the Third Test. In fact, it is only a short walk away from Darling Harbour, the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. It has all the amenities you’d expect from a four-star establishment including three restaurants, 24 hour room service as well as a full fitness suite including gym, sauna and indoor rooftop swimming pool with spectacular views across the city.

 

Itinerary

Day 1 | 19th June
Meet your Tour Manager and the rest of your fellow supporters at London Heathrow. Fly from Heathrow to Brisbane (via Abu Dhabi and Singapore) overnight.

Day 2 | 20th June
En route.

Day 3 | 21st June
On arrival in Brisbane you will be met and transferred to the Marriott Surfers Paradise Hotel where you will stay for the next four nights.

Day 4 | 22nd June
After breakfast, meet transfer to Brisbane which offers much for visitors to see and do, and with it being a very compact city you can have a good look around the main sights in the morning. You can ask your tour manager for a few suggestions.

In the afternoon soak up the pre-match atmosphere before meeting your transfer to the Suncorp Stadium for the First Test – Australia v The Lions

Day 5 | 23rd June
A full day at leisure to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Gold Coast. The beaches here offer something for everyone.

Day 6 | 24th June
Day at leisure to make the most of your last day on the Gold Coast. If you’re an early riser, why not watch the sunrise along the beach?

Day 7 | 25th June
In the morning you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Melbourne where you will check in at the four-star Crown Metropol Hotel. In the evening you will walk over to the AAMI Stadium for the game against the Melbourne Rebels.

Day 8 | 26th June
A full day at your leisure.

Day 9 | 27th June
A full day at your leisure.

Day 10 | 28th June
A full day at your leisure.

Day 11 | 29th June
Morning at leisure
Make your way (walkable from your hotel) to the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne for the 2nd Test match. This could be the decisive Test of the series.

Day 12 | 30th June
Transfer to the airport where you will fly to Cairns before checking in at the four-star Mercure Cairns Harbourside hotel for three nights. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 13 | 1st July
A full day at your leisure. Your options include spending the day in the Daintree Rainforest – one of Australia’s greatest natural treasures.

Day 14 | 2nd July
Today you will be taken to the harbour where you will embark on the Great Barrier Reef day trip that is included in the price of your trip.

Day 15 | 3rd July
You will be transferred to Cairns airport before your flight to Sydney where you will stay at the four-star Mercure Sydney hotel for four nights.

Day 16 | 4th July
Day at leisure. A full day at your leisure, followed by an evening invitation to the pre-Test party.

Day 17 | 5th July
Day at leisure to perhaps squeeze in a wine tasting experience in Hunter Valley where you can sample Australia’s finest wines

Day 18 | 6th July
Enjoy breakfast before you catch an afternoon transfer to soak up the atmosphere at the final Test of the Lions Tour at the recently renamed ANZ Stadium.

Day 19 | 7th July
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Sydney airport for your return flight back to London Heathrow (via Abu Dhabi).

Day 20 | 8th July
Arrive in London.
